WINZ Childcare Subsidy

Because whanau is the most important thing, as an approved childcare provider, Creative Cubs are happy to be able to offer the WINZ Childcare subsidy to qualifying families.

It’s a non-taxable payment for pre-school care provided by the government to help you remain in employment. The WINZ Childcare subsidy is available to qualifying families depending on your weekly income and then number of children you have. If you are eligible, your childcare subsidy will be paid directly to Creative Cubs on a weekly basis. The amount that you’re eligible for can be viewed here.

As we offer 20 hours free ECE for 3-5 year olds, the subsidised hours will only cover those additional hours of childcare. So, if you are requiring additional hours of childcare (from 20-50 hours), this is when the WINZ subsidy will be of benefit. An explanation of this can be read here.
